Rita Menneh founded Menneh Legal S.A. with a clear idea of the firm she wanted to build: one that takes real pride in the quality of its work, and that treats a client's commercial objective as the point of the exercise rather than the legal question sitting inside it.
Rita holds three degrees from McGill University, two in law and one in engineering, and it is the combination that sets her apart. Most lawyers see a case as a legal problem. Rita also sees it as a system, with parts that interact, loads that concentrate, and a root cause beneath the surface. That engineer's habit of understanding a thing from several angles at once lets her find the issue that actually decides a matter, and anticipate how one decision will ripple through the rest.
She completed her engineering degree in 2006 and began her legal career internationally at Herzog Fox & Neeman (HFN), one of Israel's leading firms, before returning to Montreal to practise at Fasken, one of Canada's largest. She was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2012. That path, across borders and legal systems, is a large part of why the firm today is so deliberately international and multilingual.
That outlook runs through everything at Menneh Legal. The firm works in English and French, and Rita herself practises in Spanish, Hebrew and Arabic, so clients can often talk through difficult matters in the language they think in. She has built the practice around long-term relationships rather than one-off files.
She envisioned a team that would take great pride in the quality of its legal work, and in being genuinely available to the clients who rely on it.
